Register your vehicle on-line!

Off-campus residents are encouraged to use the park-and-ride Texas State Bobcat Tram. Off-campus residents are eligible for a PURPLE Perimeter Permit. Several Perimeter parking lots surround the main campus, and most are served by the Bobcat Tram.

Perimeter permits are not transferable from vehicle to vehicle, but commuters may register more than one vehicle. The cost for each permit is $85 per year. To avoid long lines at Parking Services, permits can be mailed upon request. Commuters should first register on-line. Payment can be made by credit card on-line or by adding the permit price through CATS and making payment on your tuition. Vehicle registration cards and payment can also be mailed to Parking Services. Parking Services will mail the permit to the permanent address listed on the vehicle registration card.

Commuters must park in the designated PURPLE areas between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. After 5:00 p.m. and on weekends, most color zones are open to any valid permit holder.
