Visitor/Guest Parking

There are several locations throughout campus designated for visitor/guest parking. These include metered spaces, the LBJ Student Center Garage, and spaces near the Alumni House, Admission Office, and the River House.

Vehicles not parked in a metered space or at the LBJ Student Center Garage must display a Visitor/Guest Permit.

Visitor

Locations throughout campus have spaces designated for Visitors. A Visitor Permit is required to park in these spaces and may be obtained at Parking Services or any traffic control booth. Visitors may also use the LBJ Student Center Parking Garage. There is a fee to park in this garage.

Official Guest

Official Guests of Texas State can request a Guest permit through their campus host. The permit allows parking in any legal non-reserved space on campus. Other special parking arrangements can be made by the host through parking services when required. Any Texas State faculty, staff, student, or university organization who plans to invite a guest (or guests) to campus in a business or official capacity must contact Parking Services to make arrangements in advance of the visit. Contact parking services at 512-245-2887 for more information.

Parents

Parents of Texas State students are always welcome on campus. Parents should stop by the Parking Services office, a traffic control booth, or the University Police Dispatch office (after PS office hours) to request a Parent/Visitor permit. The permit allows parking in any legal non-reserved space on campus. Reserved spaces are clearly marked and include service spaces.
