Round Rock

Every vehicle parked on the Round Rock Campus must display a valid Texas State parking permit.

Every student, faculty, or staff person must register their vehicle, properly display the permit anytime the vehicle is parked on the campus, and become familiar with the Traffic and Parking Rules. Permits are required at all times and there are no after hour or weekend exceptions.

If you need immediate parking information or assistance, please call call (512) 245-2887 during normal business hours. In the event of emergency, call 911 immediately. 


Parking Permits

Purchasing a Permit

Any outstanding tickets issued to your vehicle will need to be paid before an annual permit can be issued.

To Purchase a Parking Permit in person at the Round Rock Campus:

The Round Rock Campus has a Parking Services Cashier available in Avery Building, Room 250 9 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday - Hours may sometimes vary

To Purchase a Parking Permit online:

Permits may be purchased online at http://www.parking.txstate.edu/Services/Order-Permit.html
Permits purchased online will be mailed.

Temporary Permits

 Daily and weekly temporary permits can be purchased at the pay and display stations.

Can arrangements be made for special event or large group parking?

Yes, but there is no free parking with the following exceptions:

  • Bobcat Days
  • Round Rock ISD Career Fair
  • Round Rock Arts Council Imagine Event

Special rates may apply for other University sponsored events. Please contact Parking Services at 512.245.6630

Prorated Parking Permits for 2013/2014 School Year

Prices are effective January 2, 2014. Permits are valid until August 15, 2014.

Parking Areas

  • Lots marked as Restricted with the color “Red” are reserved at all times for faculty and staff.
  • Lots marked as Perimeter Parking with the color “Purple” may be used by students, faculty, and staff.
  • All visitors should obtain and display a Visitors Permit from the Parking Services Office.
  • Visitors may be directed to specific lots for Event Parking.
